Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Personal Development to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will: Ensure that the provision outlined in Section F of each pupil’s EHCP is delivered effectively through our curriculum, resources, and partnerships with external professionals.
Salary: M1–M6 (£31,650–£43,607) to UP1–U3 (£45,646–£49,084) + SEN Point + TLR (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 INSET days + 5 additional agreed days
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
Closing Date: Friday 16th May 2025
Reports to: Headteacher

The Role – Head of Personal Development
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Personal Development to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will:
Ensure that the provision outlined in Section F of each pupil’s EHCP is delivered effectively through our curriculum, resources, and partnerships with external professionals.
Promote pupil engagement and foster a culture of learning where children feel valued, motivated, and able to thrive.
Manage and monitor funding to ensure that every child receives the appropriate resources to support their individual needs.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop a comprehensive personal development programme.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial teaching experience.
Proven leadership skills, ideally in a special school or SEMH/ASD setting.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP requirements, and funding structures.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
