Are you well organised, have an eye for detail and enjoy supporting a team to deliver an important public service?
We are looking for a Transport Facilities Assistant who will assist in the management, interpretation and communication of all passenger transport information generated by the County Council; help manage our bus service dataset, feeding multiple digital channels to enable people to access their bus service; support the preparation of stakeholder group presentations and organisation, processing information on multiple projects, and assist in the delivery of transport facilities and bus service improvement projects including for the Bus Service Improvement Plan, such as data collection and analysis as part of the monitoring and evaluation process.
As a Transport Facilities Assistant you may also coordinate first line team correspondence, providing holding replies to enquiries & complaints, complete investigations, and draft replies on behalf of the team and coordinate the repair and maintenance of bus stop infrastructure, liaising with maintenance teams and those who report damage. There are likely to be opportunities to support the commissioning of new bus stop facilities, preparing delivery plans, raising orders and undertaking site visits.
Essential Job Requirements
Track record of working successfully as part of a team
Passionate about customer centred service delivery
Ability to collect, understand and analyse data
Experience of verbal and written communication with internal and external partners
Ability to prioritise tasks
Strong IT user

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and submission of proposals for transport facilities and bus service improvements funded through new developments and secured as part of the planning process.
- Assist in the delivery of transport facilities and bus service improvement projects including those derived from S106 agreements and S278 planning conditions.
- Maintain information, infrastructure and S106/S278 databases.
